The 99th edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade transformed Manhattan into a massive celebration of music culture and entertainment, showcasing a powerful mix of international artists and beloved performers. This year’s parade brought renewed energy to New York City as thousands of spectators lined the streets to witness a dynamic blend of Broadway brilliance global pop sensations and iconic music legends.
Opening the festivities was award-winning performer Cynthia Erivo who delivered a soaring and soul-stirring version of Feeling Good instantly setting an electrifying tone for the parade. Her performance paid homage to classic musical excellence while bringing a modern emotional punch that resonated through the crowd.
The Stranger Things float drew major attention as Foreigner rocked the streets with their timeless hit Cold as Ice creating a wave of nostalgia ahead of the series’ anticipated final season. The most celebrated act of the day especially among younger fans was a high-voltage performance from HUNTR/X also known as EJAE joined by Audrey Nuna and REI AMI. Their thrilling live version of Golden brought K-pop energy to the parade delivering one of its most talked-about highlights.
Lil Jon also made headlines as he reworked his chart-topping track Turn Down for What with a kid-friendly twist. Despite his effort to keep the performance clean it still sparked controversy online with some parents claiming the moves and delivery were too bold for a family-focused parade.
The parade’s star lineup extended far beyond the headline acts. Ciara Busta Rhymes Kool & the Gang Jewel Colbie Caillat and Gavin DeGraw delighted crowds with polished performances.
