However, many parents often dismiss it as junk food, leaving children disappointed. They long for the delicious pasta they see their friends enjoying instead of their usual roti-sabzi. This time, why not surprise your kids with a healthier version of pasta that keeps everyone happy?

Spinach Pesto Pasta

This vibrant green pasta is both healthy and visually appealing.

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • Lemon zest
  • Basil leaves
  • Spinach
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method:

  1. Cook one pound of pasta.
  2. Blend lemon zest, basil leaves, garlic, grated cheese, oil, and salt into a chunky paste.
  3. Transfer this paste to a serving bowl, adding half a cup of pasta water to enhance the flavor.
  4. After cooking the pasta, drain and mix it with the prepared paste.
  5. Season to taste.

Veggie Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Peas
  • Asparagus
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method:

  1. Boil water in a pan, then add trimmed asparagus or green beans and peas. Let everything boil properly, then set aside.
  2. Cook the pasta for 8-10 minutes until soft but firm.
  3. Mix the veggies with the cooked pasta.
  4. Season with olive oil, salt, pepper, and grated parmesan cheese, then toss to combine.

Mushroom Mint Pasta

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • Mushrooms
  • Mint
  • Onions
  • Olive oil
  • Cream
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method:

  1. Cook the pasta until tender. Drain and add three tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil on medium. Add sliced onions and mushrooms, sautéing until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the cream and chopped mint leaves, cooking for five minutes.
  4. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper, then mix the sauce with the pasta and serve.
