Upcoming flagship smartphone Vivo X500 Pro Max is already generating buzz months before its expected debut, with new leaks hinting at major upgrades in display performance and camera technology. The device is reportedly undergoing internal testing, suggesting that the brand is fine-tuning its premium features ahead of launch.
According to early reports, Vivo X500 Pro Max may feature a large 6.9 inch LTPO display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals and enhanced viewing clarity. This would mark a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Vivo X300 Ultra, which already delivered high-end display performance.
In terms of photography, the device is expected to include a 50 megapixel main sensor equipped with LOFIC technology to improve dynamic range and reduce overexposure in bright conditions. It could also feature a powerful 200 megapixel periscope telephoto lens for long distance zoom along with a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera. Additionally, a multispectral sensor may be included to enhance colour accuracy and image quality.
The smartphone is likely to be powered by the advanced MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset ensuring top tier performance for gaming multitasking and AI driven tasks. Battery capacity could reach up to 7000mAh supporting extended usage without frequent charging.
Security features are also expected to include an in display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor providing fast and reliable biometric authentication.
The Vivo X500 Pro Max is anticipated to be part of the broader X500 series lineup which may launch in China around September 2026. The series is expected to include standard Pro and Pro Max variants continuing Vivo’s push into the premium smartphone segment.
Meanwhile Vivo is also preparing to introduce the Vivo X300 Ultra and other models in India in early May further expanding its flagship portfolio globally.
