Itel Power 80 Appears on Geekbench Hinting at Android 16 and Unisoc Chipset

Date:

A new smartphone from Itel is reportedly on the way, as the upcoming Itel Power 80 has surfaced on the Geekbench database, revealing important details about its expected specifications and performance. While the company has not officially confirmed the device yet, multiple leaks suggest that its launch could be approaching soon.

According to reports, the device listed with model number P685L is believed to be the Itel Power 80. The listing indicates that the smartphone may be powered by an octa-core Spreadtrum UMS9230E processor, which is associated with the Unisoc T7250 chipset. This processor is expected to include a combination of efficiency and performance cores, with clock speeds reaching up to 1.82GHz.

The benchmark listing also suggests that the smartphone could run on the latest Android 16 operating system, making it one of the early budget devices to adopt the new version. In terms of memory, the device appears with approximately 3.69GB of RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 4GB RAM.

Performance scores on Geekbench show that the handset achieved 445 points in the single-core test and 1,451 points in the multi-core test. While these numbers place it in the entry-level category, they indicate adequate performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, and light gaming.

Earlier, the device was also spotted on Indonesia’s TKDN certification platform, further strengthening speculation about its global launch in the near future. These certifications typically indicate that a product is nearing its official release.

The brand’s previous launch in India, the Itel A100 4G, featured a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, powered by a Unisoc chipset and backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The upcoming Power 80 is expected to follow a similar budget-friendly approach while offering updated hardware and software improvements.

Although official confirmation is still awaited, the leaks suggest that the Itel Power 80 could be positioned as an affordable smartphone with modern features, targeting users looking for value without compromising on essential performance.
