Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Benchmark Leak Reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and Android 16 Support

Date:

Samsung’s upcoming foldable flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, has once again surfaced on the Geekbench benchmark database, revealing key hardware details ahead of its anticipated July launch. The listing hints at a powerful setup under the hood and continues to build excitement around the next-gen foldable phone.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, carrying the model number SM-F966N, is assumed to be the Korean edition of the device. The same device family with the model number SM-F966U was also spotted in April, hinting at ongoing testing for different global variants. According to Geekbench, the device runs on Android 16 and is expected to pack at least 12GB of RAM, making it ideal for multitasking and high-performance usage.

The benchmark also discloses that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, believed to be an overclocked version, tailored for Samsung devices. The processor architecture includes six CPU cores running at 3.53GHz and two high-performance cores peaking at 4.47GHz, which aligns with Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processor series to date.

In terms of performance scores, the Z Fold 7 secured 2,617 points in single-core testing and 9,369 in multi-core scores, showing a significant improvement in raw power compared to its predecessors. Another prototype, likely the U.S. model, achieved 18,143 points in the OpenCL benchmark, indicating strong GPU capabilities.

Rumors suggest that the Z Fold 7 will be the slimmest foldable smartphone ever, possibly measuring 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.9mm in its folded state. Battery specifications are expected to include a 4,400mAh capacity, likely supported by fast charging features.

Samsung is also reportedly sticking with its strategy of offering custom-tuned chipsets for Galaxy devices, meaning the Z Fold 7 could benefit from enhanced performance similar to the Galaxy S25 series. The launch is speculated to take place in July, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with the starting price expected to be around Rs. 1,64,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
