LinkedIn is enhancing its platform with several innovative artificial intelligence (AI) features aimed at improving job search and personalized learning for its users. Announced on Thursday, these new AI-powered tools include a Jobseeker Coach capable of finding the right job from a simple text prompt, a resume and application review tool, an interactive cover letter assistant, and a feature to seek professional advice. These features are currently being rolled out globally for LinkedIn Premium users.
LinkedIn Rolls Out New AI Features
In a newsroom post, LinkedIn detailed the new capabilities under its AI-powered job experience. Currently available only in English, the company plans to add more enhancements based on user feedback in the future.
One of the highlights is the AI-powered Jobseeker Coach, an integrated chatbot designed to search for jobs based on simple text prompts. For instance, users can type, “Find me a job in cybersecurity within my network” or “Find me a UI/UX designer job in Bengaluru that pays at least Rs. 10 lakh a year,” and the AI will scan its extensive database to provide relevant suggestions. This feature also helps users implement strategies to stand out in search results.
Additionally, LinkedIn is introducing a tool to review users’ applications and resumes, providing constructive feedback and personalized suggestions tailored to specific job posts. The AI will assist in enhancing cover letters by offering recommendations that users can manually review and edit.
To further support professional development, LinkedIn is adding tools to help users seek advice and learn new skills. A new Expert Advice feature allows LinkedIn Premium users to receive personalized guidance from business leaders and coaches. According to the company, these AI bots are trained by real experts to ensure high-quality advice.
These enhancements mark a significant step in LinkedIn’s ongoing efforts to leverage AI to provide a more efficient and personalized experience for job seekers and professionals.
