Dubai, United Arab Emirates —
In an era where youth perspectives are increasingly essential to shaping the future, 51Talk, the global leader in online English language education for children, is demonstrating how learning can extend far beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Through an educational initiative aligned with the values of the United Nations Climate Change Conferences (UN COP), 51Talk is empowering young learners to speak confidently about pressing global challenges—transforming them from students into purposeful young voices.
Among thousands of young learners across the UAE, one student stood out: 12-year-old Emirati student Khaseeba Omar Al Rumaithi. Her journey began in a classroom and ultimately led her to the heart of Brazil and the Amazon rainforest, where she proudly represented the UAE as part of the 51Talk international student delegation.
A Competition That Uncovered a Promising Young Voice
Khaseeba was selected through a UAE-wide 51Talk competition designed to identify students with strong critical-thinking skills, confidence in public speaking, and the ability to clearly express ideas in English—especially on environmental and humanitarian topics. Her ability to represent a new generation of thoughtful and articulate learners earned her a place on the global delegation.
Carrying not only the UAE flag but also the spirit of Emirati youth, Khaseeba embodied the belief that today’s young people deserve a seat in the global conversations where decisions about their future are made.
A Transformative Educational Journey in the Amazon
The journey began in Belém, deep within the Amazon rainforest. It marked the start of a powerful learning experience where textbook lessons transformed into real-world discovery. Surrounded by towering trees, rare species, and diverse ecosystems, Khaseeba and the international 51Talk delegation explored biodiversity in ways no classroom could replicate.
Beyond academics, the experience broadened her cultural and emotional horizons. She connected with students from around the world—sharing stories, traditions, and laughter—and came to understand that language is more than grammar or vocabulary. It is a bridge between people, cultures, and ideas.
Education as a Gateway to Global Citizenship
Through this initiative, 51Talk demonstrated its forward-looking vision for education: English is not just an academic subject, but a gateway to leadership, global dialogue, and responsible citizenship. In alignment with UN COP goals, 51Talk aims to cultivate environmental awareness, ethical responsibility, and global participation among the next generation.
This is education that opens doors, encourages curiosity, and prepares children to shape the future—not just fill notebooks.

A Young Emirati Voice Ready for the Global Stage
At just 12 years old, Khaseeba Omar Al Rumaithi carries far more than her age suggests. She represents a rising Emirati generation—bold, curious, and ambitious—ready to participate meaningfully on the world stage. With confidence, she sends a message shared by many of today’s youth:
“We have something to say—and the world is ready to listen.”
