Acer appears to be gearing up for a comeback in the Indian smartphone market, with fresh teasers going live on Amazon India. Though initially expected to launch its new devices on March 25, the Taiwanese tech company has yet to make an official reveal. However, a dedicated promotional page has now surfaced on Amazon, featuring the tagline “The next horizon” and showcasing a large rear camera module—hinting at premium imaging capabilities possibly powered by AI enhancements.
The teaser page doesn’t mention any specific model names, but leaks and earlier listings suggest that the brand may soon launch the Acerpure Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4. These models were previously spotted on the Acerpure official website, which aligns with the current speculation.
As per earlier reports, the Acerone Liquid S162E4 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display (720 x 1,600 pixels) protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and will likely be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 processor. Meanwhile, the Acerone Liquid S272E4 might include a larger 6.7-inch display with a modified variant of the same MediaTek chip.
Both devices are rumored to ship with Android 14, offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, and pack a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of optics, the S162E4 may include a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor, while the S272E4 could come equipped with a 20-megapixel main sensor and a 0.3-megapixel secondary lens. Both smartphones are expected to carry a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Although the official names and specifications have not been confirmed by Acer yet, these teasers strongly indicate that a launch is imminent. With a focus on AI features and enhanced photography, Acer seems ready to re-enter the mobile space in India with competitive mid-range offerings.
