Alexander Bublik, seeded 23rd, struggled to find rhythm as Sinner dictated the game from start to finish. Following the win, Sinner expressed satisfaction with his performance:
“Overall I’m very, very happy. It was my first night match this year at the US Open and it really felt special. The support from the crowd makes all the difference,” Sinner told fans during his post-match interview.

With this victory, Sinner advanced to the quarter-finals, where he will face fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who defeated Jaume Munar 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 earlier the same day.

Sinner on facing Bublik

Sinner highlighted that Bublik’s exhausting five-set match in the previous round gave him an edge:
“He didn’t serve as strong as usual, so I managed to break him early in each set, which boosted my confidence on serve. We’ve played before at Wimbledon and Roland Garros this year, so we know each other’s game quite well.”

Bublik, despite the loss, congratulated Sinner and wished him success for the rest of the tournament, showing mutual respect between the two players.
