Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran’s Unexpected London Duet Delights Fans

During his London concert, Arijit Singh surprised the audience by inviting British popstar Ed Sheeran to join him on stage. The two artists performed Sheeran’s hit song “Perfect” together, creating a memorable moment for the attendees.

Ed Sheeran’s collaborations with Indian artists are becoming increasingly common. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Diljit Dosanjh for a concert in Mumbai. This time, it was Arijit Singh’s turn to share the stage with the “Perfect” hitmaker in London. On Monday, Arijit shared his gratitude on Instagram for Sheeran’s participation in his show held on September 15. He posted, “London, thank you for showing up in such a magnificent way last night. Love and Gratitude #arijitsinghlive Thank you @teddysphotos for the #perfect moment,” along with a few pictures from the concert.

Fans who attended the event shared videos of the duet on social media. One user posted, “Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran’s ‘perfect’ collaboration deflected the asteroid and saved earth!” Another user tweeted, “#ArijitSingh x #EdSheeran was not on my 2024 bingo list!!”

A third tweet read, “Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran singing ‘Perfect’ live in London is a moment for the ages!” Another fan commented, “Arijit Singh can flawlessly sing Perfect but can Ed Sheeran sing Channa Mereya?” Yet another tweet stated, “#ArijitSingh overshadowed Ed Sheeran in front of him on his song #Perfect. This is called owning the song. Even Ed Sheeran is shocked while listening to Arijit’s version of his song.”

In March 2024, Ed Sheeran visited India and performed in Mumbai as part of the final leg of his -=/x Tour (Mathematics) for his Asia and Europe Tour. During his stay in India, he met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Videos and pictures from these meetings quickly went viral. Shah Rukh showed Sheeran his iconic signature pose, while Ayushmann treated him to his mother’s homemade pinnis, a traditional Punjabi dessert.

Ed Sheeran also appeared on comedian Kapil Sharma’s show, The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix India, and on Breakfast with Champions alongside cricketer Rohit Sharma and host Gaurav Kapoor.
