Asus has officially introduced its latest budget-friendly laptop, the Chromebook CX14, to the Indian market following its recent global debut. Designed for students and everyday users, this new Chromebook combines portability with solid performance features including Intel’s Celeron Processor N4500, 8GB RAM, and built-in Titan C security developed by Google to safeguard sensitive data.
The Chromebook CX14 is built with a 14-inch full HD+ display available in either TN (Twisted Nematic) or IPS options, offering up to 300 nits brightness and a 180-degree lay-flat hinge that makes it easy to collaborate or present. Asus says the device meets the MIL-STD-810H US military standard for durability, so it can handle daily bumps and knocks with ease.
The base variant with the TN screen starts at Rs. 18,990 (approx. AED 835) while the IPS screen version is priced at Rs. 20,990 (approx. AED 923). Buyers will also receive a complimentary 100GB of Google Cloud storage to expand their file management capabilities. The laptop can be purchased now via Flipkart and is expected to be available on Amazon India soon.
For connectivity, the Asus Chromebook CX14 supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring a stable wireless experience. It features an array of I/O ports, including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Kensington Lock slot for added security.
Audio is handled by dual 2W speakers with integrated dual microphones, and users can enjoy hands-free help with Google Assistant built-in. Weighing just 1.39 kg and measuring 324.5 x 214.4 x 17 mm, it remains highly portable for students or professionals on the move.
