Cristiano Ronaldo has put an end to speculations about a potential January transfer, confirming his intention to stay in Saudi Arabia for the duration of his contract. Amid growing rumors suggesting a return to Europe in the January transfer window, Ronaldo addressed the issue in a recent interview and made it clear that he plans to honor his agreement with Al Nassr.

The Portugal superstar joined the Saudi Pro League side in 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United. Signing a groundbreaking deal worth 177 million pounds per year, Ronaldo’s contract is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025.

Speaking to the official media channel of the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo expressed his contentment with his life and career in Saudi Arabia. “I’m happy and my family is happy. We started a new life in this beautiful country. Life is good, football is good. In terms of individual and collective, we are still there. We are still improving,” he stated.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo emphasized the importance of resilience and professionalism. “It’s hard to compete with teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, but we are still there, still pushing and fighting. Football is like that; you have good moments and bad moments. But, for me, the most important thing is to be professional, to push hard, respect the club, respect your contract and believe that things will change – for Al Nassr to try to win more titles,” he added.

Ronaldo underlined his ambition to secure the AFC Champions League title with Al Nassr, describing it as his primary objective. “The AFC Champions League is something I want to win for the club. But the most important is to keep pushing and be professional,” he remarked.

Although Ronaldo has not yet won the league title with Al Nassr, he previously celebrated victory in the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023. The Portuguese icon, renowned for his illustrious European career, has accumulated numerous accolades, including five Ballon d’Or awards, three UEFA Men’s Player of the Year honors, and four European Golden Shoes.
