The much-awaited teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has been released, bringing Daniel Craig back as the brilliant detective Benoit Blanc. Netflix dropped the first glimpse of the third chapter in Rian Johnson’s acclaimed mystery franchise on Monday, giving audiences a taste of the suspense-filled story ahead.
This time, Blanc faces what he calls “the impossible crime” — the shocking murder of a Catholic priest during a Sunday Mass. The priest is portrayed by Josh Brolin, and his death sets off a gripping chain of secrets, suspects, and shocking revelations.
The star-studded cast features Glenn Close, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott, and Brolin alongside Craig. Josh O’Connor is also seen in a key role, adding more intrigue to the storyline.
The movie had its world premiere on 6 September at the Toronto International Film Festival, where Glenn Close praised the film and called her experience “one of the best of my career.”
Adding to the excitement, Daniel Craig showcases a brand-new look for this mystery — longer hair and a sharp three-piece suit — giving Benoit Blanc a fresh style compared to his earlier appearances in Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion (2022).
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will release in select theatres on 26 November before streaming globally on Netflix from 12 December. Fans can expect high drama, complex twists, and the signature clever storytelling that has made the franchise a modern favorite.
