Ingredients for Gongura Chicken Curry:

Method:

  1. Begin by thoroughly washing the gongura leaves. Cook them with green chillies, salt, and a bit of water in a pan for 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool, then grind it into a smooth paste. Heat oil in a kadhai over low-medium flame.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Incorporate haldi, coriander powder, jeera, and ginger-garlic paste, frying for a few seconds.
  4. Add the chicken pieces along with red chilli powder and salt. Mix well, cover the kadhai with a lid, and let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until the chicken becomes tender.
  5. If necessary, add more water at this stage. Once the chicken is cooked, add the gongura paste and let it simmer for another minute or two.
  6. Stir well and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Gongura Chicken Curry!
