Denise Richards has received a long term restraining order against her estranged husband Aaron Phypers following her claims of domestic abuse during their marriage. The ruling, issued on November 7, prevents Phypers from contacting Richards in any form for a period of five years.

The court order extends restrictions that were initially put in place earlier this year, shortly after Phypers filed for divorce. The former couple were together for six years before deciding to separate, and Richards stated in court that incidents throughout the relationship left her feeling unsafe and fearful. She described suffering multiple injuries and expressed ongoing concerns for her wellbeing.

Under the updated conditions, Phypers is prohibited from speaking about Richards in interviews or through any media platforms. The ruling also blocks him from possessing or purchasing firearms. Any necessary communication for legal reasons must be documented, allowing Richards to record interactions if needed.

The judge additionally instructed Phypers to delete and return any images or recordings of Richards, including private or medically related content stored on devices or cloud accounts. Richards’ legal team stated the decision was important for ensuring her safety and peace moving forward.

Phypers denied all accusations, asserting that he never harmed or threatened Richards and argued that the situation was portrayed inaccurately. While the restraining order remains in effect until November 7, 2030, separate legal proceedings involving finances and property will continue.

Richards, known for her acting career in television and film, and Phypers, who works in the entertainment industry as well, have chosen not to make additional public comments since the court ruling.
