Dubai Fountain, one of the city’s most iconic attractions, is gearing up for an exciting revamp in early 2026. Following essential maintenance in 2025 that required a five-month closure, the world’s largest dancing fountain will receive new elements, advanced choreography, and enhanced sound and lighting systems. Announced by Emaar, the second phase of upgrades will introduce improvements to the aesthetics and overall performance of the fountain while allowing daily shows to continue. Visitors can expect innovative surprises, improved technology, and an even more spectacular viewing experience. The fountain currently performs up to 13 shows daily with water reaching heights of 140 meters, accompanied by a range of music from pop to classical and Arabic tunes, visible from miles away.
The daily shows include afternoon and evening performances every half hour from 6pm to 11pm with special timings on Fridays and other weekdays. Dubai Fountain employs 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 color projectors delivering 1.5 million lumens of light, creating a dramatic visual spectacle alongside the Burj Khalifa. The 2026 upgrade promises to make the fountain shows even more breathtaking while continuing to attract tourists and locals alike.
