Dubai is set to make history with the world’s first Gold Street, a unique avenue constructed using real gold, as part of the ambitious Dubai Gold District project. This landmark development aims to reinforce Dubai’s global reputation as a premier hub for gold and jewellery. The new Gold Street will be located in Deira, creating a spectacular attraction for tourists and visitors eager to experience the “City of Gold” in a new and dazzling way.

The Dubai Gold District, developed by Ithra Dubai, is designed as a purpose-built destination featuring over 1,000 retailers across gold, jewellery, perfumery, cosmetics, and lifestyle categories. Retailers planning flagship stores include Jawhara Jewellery, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Al Romaizan, Tanishq Jewellery, and Joyalukkas, which will unveil its largest Middle East flagship spanning 24,000 square feet. The district is supported by six hotels offering more than 1,000 guest rooms, providing easy access for international visitors, buyers, and trade partners.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, highlighted the significance of the project, saying that gold is deeply embedded in Dubai’s cultural and commercial heritage. He emphasized that the Gold District not only celebrates this legacy but also reimagines it through creativity and sustainability. The development reflects strong public-private collaboration and aims to enhance Dubai’s position as a global centre for innovation, tourism, and investment.

Further details about the designs, features, and attractions of Gold Street will be released in phases, making it one of Dubai’s most anticipated new landmarks. With the Dubai Gold District and its Gold Street, the emirate continues to expand its tourism and retail landscape, attracting global visitors and reinforcing its status as a world-class destination for shopping, luxury, and cultural experiences.
