Google has reportedly resolved a recent issue affecting the Pixel 10 series, which caused multiple apps and services to freeze or crash on the newly launched devices. The problem was affecting Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL users shortly after the phones’ debut in August 2025.
Over the weekend, several users reported that apps such as Spotify, Solid Explorer, Google, and X (formerly Twitter) were consistently freezing, even after rebooting the handsets multiple times. The glitch also affected Android System Intelligence, making some phones temporarily unusable.
According to reports, the issue was resolved via a server-side update, which did not require users to install any updates to Google Play Services. Android experts noted that the temporary fix involved clearing Google Play Services data, which worked for some but the problem would reappear. Google has now implemented a permanent fix while conducting an internal review to determine the root cause of the bug.
The Google Pixel 10 series runs on the Tensor G5 chipset and features a Titan M2 security chip, offering high performance and robust security. The devices were launched on August 20, 2025, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL leading the series in specifications. Users affected by the app crashes can now continue using their phones without disruption following the server-side resolution.
