Fresh leaks suggest that the HMD Hyper, an upcoming smartphone from the Finnish company, could arrive with a 120Hz OLED display and design cues reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia series. The latest renders depict a device with a flat, angular frame and a rounded screen, bordered by slim black bezels. Rumors indicate that the smartphone may be launched in a vibrant yellow color, and it could be equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.
The HMD Hyper is speculated to include a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. For selfies, the device might boast a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera capabilities are expected to support 4K video recording at 30fps and Full HD recording at 60fps or 30fps.
Under the hood, the HMD Hyper could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. The battery is rumored to be a 4,700mAh unit with support for 33W fast charging. The design is reportedly inspired by the classic Nokia Lumia 920, featuring a boxy design with a bright yellow finish, a flat frame, and buttons on the right side. The rear panel may include the HMD branding and a camera module positioned in the top left corner.
