The upcoming HMD XploraOne is shaping up to be a straightforward, kid-friendly mobile device built through a collaboration between Human Mobile Devices and wearables company Xplora. Designed as an introductory phone for young users, the model places strong emphasis on safety, communication, and simplicity. While the company has not officially revealed full specifications or pricing, early details from listings and leaks are already giving a clear picture of the product’s direction.
According to the official Xplora website, the HMD XploraOne is presented as an easy-to-navigate handset equipped with basic utilities suitable for children. The design reveals a compact touchscreen phone featuring a single navigation button on the front and an additional button on top. Essential functions such as calling, texting, calendar and calculator apps, photo gallery access, and simple camera use are included, while access to internet browsing and social media platforms is intentionally excluded to minimize distractions and enhance safety.
Parents are expected to maintain full oversight of the device, with the ability to manage and control contacts directly, ensuring only approved interactions. Location tracking support is also highlighted, making it easier for guardians to monitor their child’s whereabouts in real time.
A known tipster has shared alleged specifications, indicating the handset may arrive with a 3.2-inch QVGA IPS display shielded by 2.5D glass, a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a basic 0.3-megapixel front camera for simple photo needs. The phone is rumored to run on a Unisoc T127 chipset paired with 64MB RAM and 128MB internal storage, with support for further expansion via microSD up to 32GB. It is also expected to house a 2,000mAh battery supported by USB Type-C charging. Additional features may include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, Gemini AI functions, and an IP52 rating for mild dust and splash resistance. Color options reportedly include Charcoal and Cyan Blue. As anticipation builds, the device is expected to launch soon in select global markets.
