Honor is gearing up for the official global launch of its latest smartphone lineup — the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro — on May 22, while the series is scheduled to debut in China on May 28 at 7:30 PM local time. Ahead of their arrival, the company has revealed key highlights, including battery enhancements, powerful chipsets, and advanced imaging capabilities. The Honor 400 series is expected to bring a strong leap forward from the previous Honor 300 lineup, with notable upgrades in battery capacity, performance, and design.

According to details shared through Weibo teasers and listings on Honor’s UK website, the Honor 400 series smartphones will run on high-end Snapdragon processors. The standard Honor 400 is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Honor 400 Pro may feature the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Both handsets will include a premium metal frame construction, further enhancing durability and build quality.

In terms of battery performance, Chinese variants of both models will feature massive 7,200mAh batteries — a huge upgrade compared to the 5,300mAh units in the Honor 300 series. Global variants, however, are listed with slightly smaller 6,000mAh batteries. Charging capabilities also see a boost, with the Honor 400 Pro supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The standard Honor 400 will support 80W fast charging.

The camera hardware on these new devices stands out significantly. The Honor 400 Pro will include a triple camera system on the rear, headlined by a 200MP primary sensor, alongside a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. A 50MP front camera is present for selfies and video calls. The handset also offers high-level water and dust protection with IP68 and IP69 certifications.

Meanwhile, the Honor 400 will feature a dual rear camera system, consisting of a 200MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. It also includes a 50MP front-facing camera and is protected by an IP66-rated build. Both smartphones will be available in several color options. The Honor 400 Pro comes in Lunar Grey, Midnight Black, and Tidal Blue, while the Honor 400 will be sold in Desert Gold, Midnight Black, and Meteor Silver.

Display-wise, users can expect vibrant and sharp visuals, with both models offering a 5,000-nit peak brightness, 1,280 x 2,800 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 460ppi pixel density. Additionally, the series is rumored to introduce an AI-powered image-to-video tool, showcasing Honor’s continued focus on smart content creation technologies.

With their blend of top-tier hardware, stylish designs, and cutting-edge features, the Honor 400 and 400 Pro aim to strengthen the brand’s presence in both European and Asian markets this May.
