Honor is gearing up to launch its latest flagship, the Magic 8 Pro, in China on October 16, promising a host of cutting-edge features and camera advancements. The company has confirmed that the Pro variant will come equipped with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera, enhanced AI capabilities, and advanced image stabilisation, making it a standout in smartphone photography.
The telephoto lens on the Magic 8 Pro includes a 1/1.4-inch sensor with a large f/2.6 aperture, while image processing will be handled by the AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine. The camera also boasts CIPA 5.5-stop stabilisation, enabling users to capture sharper images even at slower shutter speeds, effectively reducing blur caused by hand movements.
Design-wise, the Magic 8 Pro is expected to feature a quad-curved display and a curved rear panel, offering a sleek and symmetrical look. The device may also sport a pill-shaped cutout on the screen, reminiscent of the Magic 7 Pro.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone will run MagicOS 10 out of the box, delivering a smooth and responsive user experience. With these high-end specifications and innovative camera features, the Honor Magic 8 Pro aims to redefine mobile photography and performance for flagship smartphones.
