Huawei has officially launched its latest innovation, the Huawei Mate XTs tri-fold smartphone, in China, marking a new step in foldable technology. The device comes powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, running on HarmonyOS 5.1.

The highlight of the Mate XTs is its triple-folding display setup. The phone features a 6.4-inch single-mode screen with a resolution of 2,232×1,008 pixels, a 7.9-inch dual-mode panel at 2,232×2,048 pixels, and when fully unfolded, a massive 10.2-inch foldable display at 2,232×3,184 pixels resolution. It uses LTPO OLED panels with adaptive refresh rates, a 1,440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate for smoother performance.

In terms of optics, the Mate XTs is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 40-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom and OIS support. The front packs an 8-megapixel ultrawide selfie camera. Huawei claims that all rear sensors use an RYYB pixel arrangement to improve low-light photography.

The device is backed by a 5,600mAh battery, offering 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. It supports connectivity features like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, UWB, satellite communication, an IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port. For security, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Huawei Mate XTs also supports the M-Pen 3 stylus, which doubles up as a presentation remote and laser pointer. Despite its large display, the smartphone remains lightweight at 298g and measures just 3.6mm at its thinnest point when unfolded.

The Mate XTs is offered in black, red, purple, and white color options. Pricing in China starts at CNY 17,999 (approx. ₹2,22,300) for the 16GB + 256GB model, CNY 19,999 (approx. ₹2,47,100) for the 16GB + 512GB model, and CNY 21,999 (approx. ₹2,71,900) for the 16GB + 1TB variant. Sales begin on September 5, 2025, through the Huawei China e-store.
