Huawei has officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone lineup, the Huawei Pura 90 Series, in China. The new range includes three models — Huawei Pura 90, Huawei Pura 90 Pro, and Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max — bringing advanced camera technology, high performance hardware, and large battery capacity.
The standout model, Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, features a cutting-edge 200 megapixel telephoto camera with an RYYB sensor designed to significantly improve low light photography. It also includes a 50 megapixel main camera equipped with LOFIC technology for enhanced dynamic range along with a 40 megapixel ultra wide lens.
Both the Pro and Pro Max variants are powered by the Kirin 9030S chipset and run on HarmonyOS 6.1 offering smooth performance and efficient multitasking. They come with up to 16GB RAM and as much as 1TB internal storage catering to power users and heavy multitasking needs.
In terms of display the Pro model features a 6.6 inch LTPO OLED screen while the Pro Max offers a larger 6.9 inch display both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and protected by second generation Kunlun glass. These devices also include a triple camera system with high zoom capabilities and a 13 megapixel front camera for selfies.
Battery life is another highlight across the series with all models packing a 6000mAh battery. The Pro supports 66W wired and 55W wireless charging while the Pro Max pushes further with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging along with reverse charging support.
The standard Huawei Pura 90 is powered by the Kirin 9010S chipset and features a 6.8 inch OLED display. It offers a triple camera setup including a 50 megapixel main sensor a 12.5 megapixel ultra wide lens and a periscope telephoto camera. It also supports fast charging and similar connectivity features as the higher end variants.
Pricing for the series starts at CNY 4699 for the base model while the Pro Max variant goes up to CNY 8599 depending on configuration. The smartphones will go on sale in China starting April 29 with global availability yet to be confirmed.
