Huawei has introduced its latest innovation in the foldable smartphone segment with the launch of the Huawei Pura X Max in China. This marks the company’s first wide-format foldable device, expanding its premium smartphone lineup with advanced hardware and design.
The Huawei Pura X Max features a large 7.7-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, delivering a smooth and immersive viewing experience. On the outside, users get a 5.4-inch secondary display with even higher brightness levels, ensuring usability even under bright conditions.
Powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9030 Pro processor, the device promises improved performance across CPU GPU and AI tasks compared to previous generations. It is available with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage, targeting high-end users looking for performance and multitasking capabilities.
In terms of photography, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP main sensor with variable aperture and optical image stabilisation a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering up to 100x digital zoom and a 12.5MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, dual 8MP cameras are placed on both the inner and outer displays.
The foldable device is backed by a 5300mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It also comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance ensuring durability in various conditions.
Running on HarmonyOS 6.1 the smartphone supports multiple connectivity options including 5G Bluetooth 6 WiFi GPS and more. It also includes a wide range of sensors along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The Huawei Pura X Max starts at CNY 10999 for the base variant and goes up to CNY 13999 for the top-end model. It will be available in China starting April 25 through Huawei’s official online store in multiple colour options including Interstellar Blue Olive Gold Phantom Black Vibrant Orange and Zero Degree White.
