The ongoing South Africa T20Is remain the last opportunity for fringe players to make their case. Coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav will use the series to evaluate performances before finalising the January squad. Once announced, however, the New Zealand squad is widely expected to mirror India’s World Cup contingent barring injury-related changes.
