iOS 26.2 Beta 2 Rolls Out With Expanded Customisation Features and Key Bug Fixes

iOS 26.2 Beta 2 features iOS 26.2 update Apple beta rollout Liquid Glass customisation iOS interface updates iOS design tweaks Apple bug fixes iOS known issues

Apple has begun releasing iOS 26.2 Beta 2 to developers and testers, bringing more refinements, interface adjustments, and several important fixes. The update follows the initial iOS 26.2 Beta 1 rollout earlier this month and continues Apple’s focus on enhancing the Liquid Glass design options introduced with iOS 26.1. While there are no major feature additions this time, users will notice subtle system improvements and design polish across the interface.

The update expands the customisation possibilities of the Liquid Glass UI, giving users greater control over transparency levels and visual effects. Reports also indicate that Apple has applied the Liquid Glass aesthetic to the Level and Measure tools, introducing translucent, glass-like elements that animate as users adjust angle readings. The Photos app has received a small visual tweak as well, with the More menu icon using a smoother, bouncier animation.

Apple has resolved multiple issues present in the earlier beta, improving system reliability. Fixes include problems with the Allocations instrument occasionally failing to record reference counting behaviour for Swift-native types. The company has also addressed several animation inconsistencies across menus. However, Apple has acknowledged a few remaining issues in this second beta. Devices running iOS 26.2 Beta 1 with AirDrop set to Everyone may not appear to users on Beta 2 unless both devices share Apple account contact details or are updated to the same version. Another known limitation affects the Watch Face Gallery, where text currently appears only in English.

With the stable release of iOS 26.2 expected in December, Apple continues to fine-tune the experience, aiming to deliver smoother animations, tighter system performance, and more flexible visual customisation options before the final update reaches all eligible iPhones.
