Jack Depp, son of famed actor Johnny Depp, has garnered attention for his discreet job and lifestyle, which he prefers to keep out of the public eye. At 22, Jack was seen working as a bartender in Paris. The restaurant owner, Edouard Chueke, praised Jack as a ‘great guy’ and a ‘good employee,’ though he has recently taken a step back from the role.
Jack Depp has opted for a low-profile life, a stark contrast to his sister, Lily-Rose Depp, an actress with over 8 million Instagram followers. According to the Daily Mail, Jack, son of French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, had been employed at L’Area, a popular Lebanese restaurant in Paris’s Bastille district. Despite Depp and Paradis’s separation after nearly 14 years together, they raised their children away from the public eye. The December 7 report indicated that Jack was working in the restaurant’s downstairs kitchen during a break from his studies. He has since taken a hiatus from his part-time job as well.
“Jack is a great guy. He keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen,” said restaurant owner Edouard Chueke. “He was a good employee. He left a few months ago, but I expect him back later next year. Good staff are hard to find.”
The restaurant draws a trendy clientele, with Vanessa Paradis and her daughter Lily-Rose Depp frequent visitors. “Lily was mixing caipirinhas behind the bar and really getting into it, she was enjoying herself,” added the owner. Paradis prioritized a private upbringing for her children in her French hometown.
Despite their split, Depp and Paradis have remained amicable, with Paradis supporting Depp during his defamation trial in 2020 involving Amber Heard. They met in 1998 while Depp was filming “The Ninth Gate” in France and quickly expanded their family, welcoming daughter Lily-Rose within a year and son John “Jack” Christopher in 2002. They chose to protect their children from the public eye. In an interview with Weekend Knack magazine, Paradis said she preferred raising their kids in France over Los Angeles due to the anonymity it offered, which she found blissful, especially when the children were young.
