According to data shared by The Hollywood Reporter, research from the National Research Group (NRG) places the film’s opening estimates in the range of $125 million to $145 million. However, DC Studios and Warner Bros. are reportedly more cautious, forecasting a launch between $90 million and $125 million. Some industry experts, influenced by the film’s strong online buzz and increasing fan engagement, are predicting a debut as high as $175 million—potentially surpassing 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opened at $166 million.
If these optimistic forecasts hold true, the Superman reboot could become the biggest opening in DC history, edging past Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy and revitalizing the franchise under its new creative direction.
