Reliance Jio has introduced its all-new cloud-powered virtual desktop solution named JioPC for subscribers using JioFiber and Jio AirFiber services in India. With this newly launched platform, users can turn their existing Jio set-top boxes into full-fledged virtual computers by simply connecting a keyboard and mouse. Designed to support productivity and modern computing needs, JioPC offers built-in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and 100GB of cloud storage space.
This innovative service operates on the JioPC app, already integrated into the Jio set-top box interface. It allows access to a virtual Ubuntu-based desktop environment hosted on Jio’s servers. Users can enjoy a seamless computing experience through an internet connection, making it ideal for remote work, students, and users looking for affordable digital access.
JioPC Pricing and Plans in India
The subscription for JioPC begins at Rs 599 per month, offering a month-long access to its features. A two-month plan is available at Rs 999. To attract more users, Jio is offering bundled long-term packages—six months of service at Rs 2,499 (with 8 months of access included), and a 12-month plan at Rs 4,599, which includes 15 months of access. Note that all pricing is exclusive of applicable GST.
JioPC Features and Setup
The virtual desktop runs on a quad-core processor with 8GB RAM, offering smooth performance for general computing tasks. Each subscription includes 100GB of cloud-based storage and supports multiple AI tools, including access to Adobe Express Premium. The system is protected by network-level security, ensuring safety from viruses and malware.
Setting up JioPC is simple. Users can navigate to the JioPC app from the Apps section on their Jio set-top box. Upon launching the app, the user is guided to connect a keyboard and mouse. After logging in using the mobile number linked with the JioFiber or Jio AirFiber account, the virtual desktop is ready to use.
Jio is also offering a free one-month trial for new users to experience the service without any initial charges. This move positions JioPC as an affordable and accessible cloud computing solution for homes and small businesses across India.
