Singer and songwriter Joe Jonas has spoken candidly about his emotional journey following his separation from actor Sophie Turner. In a heartfelt interview with Esquire, Joe shared how challenging the divorce process has been and how his brothers, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas, have been his biggest source of strength during this difficult phase.
Opening up about his personal experience, Joe said that divorce is never easy for anyone and comes with emotional hurdles. “Divorce is tough. It’s not easy for anybody. People make quick judgments, but I’m grateful to have my brothers, my family, and my close friends. When I perform on stage, it helps me heal, and it gives me a sense of purpose to connect with others who may be going through similar struggles,” he said.
The singer also reflected on his co-parenting relationship with Sophie Turner and their two daughters, Willa and Delphine. “Getting to the other side two years later and maintaining a healthy relationship with Sophie as co-parents has been a huge step. You realise that everything you do is for your kids. I’ll do anything for them, and navigating that journey together has been important,” Joe shared.
Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in Miami in September 2023 after four years of marriage, citing that their relationship was “irretrievably broken.” The former couple later released a joint statement confirming that they had mutually decided to end their marriage amicably. Their daughters, Willa (born in 2020) and Delphine (born in 2022), remain their top priority.
In 2024, Sophie Turner spoke about the emotional side of their separation in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, describing it as “incredibly sad.” Despite the heartbreak, both Joe and Sophie continue to focus on providing a stable and loving environment for their children while maintaining mutual respect for each other.
