The Jonas Brothers have returned to the screen with a new Disney Plus Christmas movie that mixes comedy emotional honesty and plenty of self-aware humor aimed especially at Joe Jonas. Released on November 14 the film follows fictionalized versions of Joe Nick and Kevin as they rush from London to New York hoping to make it home before Christmas only to find chaos waiting at every turn.

The story takes a sharp comedic approach when Santa portrayed by Jesse Tyler Ferguson places a mischievous spell on the brothers forcing them to confront long avoided tensions. From the moment the journey begins Joe becomes the center of playful jabs with the script weaving in jokes about his well known romantic history. During one scene Kevin teases Joe about the number of recent “connections” while Nick adds a punchline that lands even harder. Another moment on a wrong train in Amsterdam assigns each brother a humorous label with Joe being nicknamed “lovable tramp” pushing the humor even further.

The film adds emotional depth through Joe’s reunion with Lucy played by Chloe Bennet a childhood friend who acknowledges the challenges of being close to someone whose relationships are constantly public. Their conversation about breakups touches on Joe’s real life experiences including his widely discussed 2024 divorce making the moment surprisingly sincere.

Later the narrative shifts to conflict when the trio is cornered by wolves leading to confessions and confrontations. Joe admits that the ongoing teasing makes him question whether he truly fits the “womanizer” image people assign to him revealing a vulnerable side beneath the humor.
