Filmmaker Jonathan Nolan has praised Bollywood for its fearless storytelling and ambitious filmmaking, highlighting a quality he finds unique compared to Hollywood. During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Nolan, who visited India in 2024, described Indian cinema as “very exciting” for its bold approach and global appeal. As he prepares for the release of the second season of his acclaimed series Fallout, Nolan shared his admiration for the creative risks and scale of Bollywood productions, noting that Hollywood can be ambitious but lacks the same level of daring.
While Nolan’s busy schedule leaves little time to explore new Indian films, he admitted that his home media choices are influenced by his children’s love for Miyazaki films. However, he expressed eagerness to dive deeper into Indian cinema when he gets a break. Fallout season 2 reunites the original cast including Ella Purnell Aaron Moten Kyle MacLachlan Moisés Arias Xelia Mendes-Jones and Walton Goggins. The first episode premieres on Prime Video on December 17 with subsequent episodes releasing weekly through February 4, 2026.
