Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has opened up about the challenges of co-parenting her four children with ex-husband Kanye West (Ye). During a recent episode of the popular Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim shared personal insights about raising her kids — North West (12), Saint West (9), Chicago West (7), and Psalm West (6) — while maintaining a healthy balance with their father.
Kim revealed that co-parenting with Kanye hasn’t been an easy journey. “It’s not easy. I raise the kids full-time. They live with me, but I always encourage a great and healthy relationship between them and their dad,” she said. The reality star emphasized that despite difficulties, she constantly strives to ensure that her children feel loved and supported by both parents.
When asked about Kanye’s recent involvement with the children, Kim mentioned that “he calls for them whenever he wants to,” adding that it has “probably been a couple of months since they last heard from him.”
In recent months, several reports have surfaced about Kanye’s concerns regarding his children’s well-being. Earlier this year, the rapper expressed frustration on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that he was being kept away from his kids. He wrote, “Why are you all watching and letting Kim take my kids from me in real time?” while also sharing emotional reflections about his struggles as a father.
Kim and Kanye’s relationship has been one of Hollywood’s most talked-about love stories. The two first met in the early 2000s, became close in 2008, and started dating in 2012 while Kim was finalizing her divorce from Kris Humphries. They welcomed their first child, North West, in 2013 and married in May 2014. However, after six years of marriage, Kim filed for divorce in 2021, and their separation was finalized in November 2022.
Despite the ups and downs, Kim says her focus remains on ensuring stability and emotional balance for her children. “It’s a lot of work,” she admitted, “but my kids are my priority, and I’ll always protect their peace.”
