Indian smartphone brand Lava International has hinted at the upcoming debut of its new device the Lava Bold 2 5G in India. The company recently revealed the design of the handset ahead of the official launch while also confirming that the device will be sold online through Amazon.
A dedicated teaser page for the smartphone has already gone live on Amazon indicating that the handset will soon be available for purchase in the country. The promotional tagline highlights the upcoming device as “Brighter Slimmer Bolder” suggesting improvements in design and performance compared with its predecessor.
The preview images show the Lava Bold 2 5G in a black finish featuring a sleek and slim profile. The smartphone appears to include a flat frame and flat rear panel which gives it a modern design similar to many recent midrange smartphones.
At the back the device is shown with a dual camera setup placed inside a rectangular camera module along with an LED flash unit. The power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side of the frame for easy accessibility.
Although the company has teased the design it has not yet revealed full specifications launch date or pricing details for the handset. More information about the phone’s features performance and official release timeline is expected to be announced soon.
The Lava Bold 2 5G will succeed the Lava Bold 5G which debuted in India in April 2025. The previous model launched with a starting price of Rs 10499 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The earlier Bold 5G model featured a 6.67 inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and was powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It also included a 5000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging along with a 64 megapixel primary rear camera and a 16 megapixel front camera.
With the upcoming Lava Bold 2 5G the company is expected to introduce design refinements and possible hardware upgrades as it continues to compete in the affordable 5G smartphone segment in India.
