The celebrated London tapas restaurant opened its doors on Tuesday January 27 marking the brand’s first location outside the United Kingdom. Known for its counter dining concept and uncompromising Spanish flavours Barrafina arrives in the heart of Dubai’s fine dining district at Gate Village.
With only 55 seats Barrafina Dubai offers an intimate dining experience where guests sit close to the chefs and watch dishes come together in real time. The counter seating is central to the experience encouraging interaction atmosphere and a front row view of the kitchen. This approach has made Barrafina a cult favourite in London where diners are famously willing to queue for a seat.
The menu in Dubai features signature dishes that have defined the brand including the classic Spanish tortilla gambas rojas and chicken thighs with romesco. Alongside these favourites the DIFC outpost introduces exclusive plates tailored for the city such as daily specials of clams with salsa verde and a rotating selection of Galician dry aged beef.
Between main dining hours guests can enjoy a relaxed para picar snack menu offering white anchovy tostada prawn croquetas and Spanish bikini sandwiches filled with tuna belly and caviar. The restaurant is brought to Dubai by Anthem Hospitality Group adding another standout destination to DIFC’s already impressive dining lineup.
