MediaTek has expanded its mobile processor lineup with the introduction of the new Dimensity 7450 and Dimensity 7450X, bringing enhanced performance, AI capabilities, and next-generation connectivity to upcoming smartphones. While the company has not made a formal launch announcement, both chipsets have been listed with full specifications, revealing key upgrades.

Built using a 4nm process, the processors feature an octa-core architecture that includes four high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.6GHz alongside four efficiency-focused Cortex-A55 cores. These chipsets are designed to deliver balanced performance for multitasking, gaming, and everyday smartphone use.

Both the Dimensity 7450 and Dimensity 7450X support advanced 5G connectivity based on global standards, offering high-speed data performance with peak download speeds reaching up to 3.27Gbps. Connectivity features also include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for faster and more stable wireless experiences.

A key highlight is the integration of MediaTek’s sixth-generation AI processing unit, delivering improved AI performance compared to earlier models. This enables smarter photography, enhanced gaming optimisations through HyperEngine technology, and better overall device efficiency.

In terms of imaging, the chipsets support smartphones equipped with up to 200-megapixel cameras, along with 4K video recording at 30fps. Advanced camera features include AI-based auto exposure white balance autofocus HDR video and electronic image stabilisation for improved photography and videography.

The Dimensity 7450X stands out with dedicated support for foldable devices, including dual-display optimisation. It is expected to power upcoming foldable smartphones such as devices in the Motorola Razr 2026 lineup, offering enhanced user experiences for flexible displays.

For graphics, both chipsets are equipped with Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPUs, supporting high refresh rate displays up to 120Hz for WFHD+ and 144Hz for Full HD+ resolutions. They also support modern video codecs including H.264 HEVC and VP9 for smooth media playback and recording.

With these new chipsets, MediaTek aims to strengthen its position in the competitive mid-to-premium smartphone segment by delivering powerful performance advanced AI and future-ready connectivity.
