Motorola is reportedly preparing to expand its Edge 70 lineup in India with the introduction of a new premium smartphone, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The device is expected to arrive as an upgraded version of the recently launched Motorola Edge 70 Pro, bringing several improvements aimed at enhancing user experience.
According to recent leaks shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, the upcoming smartphone could launch in India by the end of May 2026. While the company has not officially confirmed the release, early details suggest the handset will be available in three distinct colour options, possibly including green, red, and brown finishes with unique textures such as satin and wood-inspired designs.
One of the biggest expected upgrades is the addition of a telephoto camera, which would address a key limitation of the current Pro model. The camera module is likely to retain a familiar square design while improving photography capabilities, especially for zoom shots.
Another notable improvement could be the inclusion of wireless charging support — a feature that was absent in the Edge 70 Pro. This addition would make the Pro+ variant more competitive in the premium smartphone segment, where wireless charging has become increasingly common.
Performance is also expected to see a boost, with reports suggesting that the top variant of the device may offer up to 16GB of RAM, making it suitable for heavy multitasking and high-performance usage.
For context, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro was launched in India in April 2026 with a starting price of Rs. 38,999, going up to Rs. 41,999 for higher configurations. It features a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, and an ultrawide lens, but lacks both wireless charging and a dedicated telephoto camera.
With the anticipated upgrades, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ could fill these gaps and position itself as a more feature-rich offering in the competitive Indian smartphone market. More details are expected to emerge as the rumored launch timeline approaches.
