Motorola is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone in India, and recent teasers strongly hint at the arrival of the Moto X70 Air, which is expected to launch globally as the Motorola Edge 70 on November 5. The teaser shared by Motorola India showcases the phone’s sleek rear design with circular camera cutouts, emphasizing its ultra-slim build. Although the company hasn’t officially revealed the name, design cues and specifications match the Moto X70 Air, already available in China.
The Motorola Edge 70 features a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, it offers powerful performance combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 16, promising a clean and efficient user experience.
Photography enthusiasts can expect a dual rear camera system comprising a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, ensuring sharp and detailed shots. On the front, it features a 50MP selfie camera ideal for high-quality portraits and video calls. The phone’s IP68 and IP69 certification ensures protection against dust and water, making it both durable and premium.
The Moto X70 Air (Motorola Edge 70) is equipped with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, allowing users to power up quickly. The phone’s slim frame measures 5.99mm in thickness and weighs just 159g, placing it among the thinnest smartphones in its class — rivaling the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in design and portability.
In China, the 12GB + 512GB variant of the Moto X70 Air is priced at approximately CNY 2,399 (around ₹30,000), while the 12GB + 256GB version costs CNY 2,699 (around ₹33,500). The Indian pricing is expected to be similar, making it a competitive option in the mid-premium range. Motorola’s focus on sleek design, fast charging, and a robust camera setup could make the Edge 70 a strong contender in India’s smartphone market.
