The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, believed to be the successor to the Edge 50 Ultra, has reportedly surfaced on Geekbench, hinting at some of its powerful hardware specifications. The listing reveals that the flagship smartphone may ship with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and run on Android 16, setting expectations for high-end performance.

According to the Geekbench database, a Motorola device carrying the model number XT2603-1 achieved impressive benchmark scores — 2,636 in single-core and 7,475 in multi-core tests. The chipset is described as an octa-core ARMv8-based processor, featuring two prime cores clocked at 3.65GHz and six performance cores running at 3.32GHz, paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. This configuration aligns with early leaks suggesting it could be Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.

The device reportedly includes around 14.96GB of RAM, which will likely be marketed as 16GB, and the motherboard identifier is listed as “vantage.” These details hint at a strong focus on flagship-grade speed and efficiency, positioning the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra as one of the most powerful smartphones in its class.

While Motorola hasn’t officially confirmed the launch, the Edge 70 Ultra is expected to continue the brand’s premium design legacy with an OLED display offering 1.5K resolution. Industry sources suggest the handset could debut as the Moto X70 Ultra in China and under the Edge 70 Ultra name globally.

The appearance of this model on Geekbench suggests that Motorola’s next-generation flagship may be nearing launch. Following the Edge 60 series earlier this year, this Ultra variant could mark Motorola’s return to the ultra-premium smartphone space with a combination of power, speed, and next-gen features.
