Motorola is reportedly preparing to expand its premium Edge lineup with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, expected to arrive as the second model in the Edge 70 series. Recent leaks suggest the upcoming flagship could bring notable performance upgrades along with refreshed design elements and new colour options.
According to fresh tip-offs, the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra may be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, built on an advanced 3nm process. If confirmed, this would mark a major leap over the Edge 50 Ultra and position the device among the most powerful Android smartphones expected in 2026.
The handset is also rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. While slightly lower than its predecessor’s 144Hz panel, the display is still expected to deliver smooth visuals and flagship-level clarity.
On the camera front, the Edge 70 Ultra is tipped to sport a triple rear camera system, all using 50-megapixel sensors. This setup could include a primary wide camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera designed for enhanced zoom photography. For users, this could translate into balanced imaging performance across different shooting scenarios.
Design leaks indicate a textured rear panel with a square camera module positioned in the top-left corner. The power and volume buttons are expected on the right side, while an additional programmable button may appear on the left edge. The smartphone is also rumoured to launch in three colour options including black green and bronze.
While Motorola has not officially confirmed the Edge 70 Ultra yet, the growing number of leaks suggests an announcement could be on the horizon.
