The upcoming Motorola G06 is already generating buzz as leaks have revealed its expected specifications, features, and pricing details ahead of launch. The smartphone, likely to debut in January 2026 in India, is expected to continue Motorola’s tradition of offering budget-friendly devices with reliable performance, similar to its predecessor, the Motorola G05, which launched earlier this year.
According to reports, the Motorola G06 may feature a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
For photography, the Motorola G06 is tipped to include a dual-rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor supported by autofocus and a secondary flicker sensor. On the front, an 8MP selfie camera is expected. The phone is rumored to run on Android 15 and may include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The smartphone could also pack a 5,200mAh battery, slightly larger than earlier leaks that mentioned a 5,100mAh unit, with 10W wired charging support. The design renders suggest the device will come with a teardrop-style notch, a visible chin at the bottom, and a dual-camera module at the top-left corner. The handset will likely be available in multiple color options, including Tapestry, Arabesque, and Tendril.
In terms of pricing, European retail listings suggest the Motorola G06 may start at EUR 119 (approx. ₹12,300) for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the 4GB + 256GB model could cost EUR 169 (around ₹17,400). Considering the Motorola G05 launched in India at just ₹6,999, the upcoming G06 may arrive in India at a slightly higher price bracket due to upgraded hardware and features.
With improved performance, modern design, and long-lasting battery, the Motorola G06 is set to be a strong contender in the entry-level smartphone segment when it officially debuts.
