The upcoming foldable smartphone Motorola Razr 70 has reportedly appeared on a certification database in China, suggesting that its official launch could be just around the corner. The listing points to a modest improvement in charging capabilities while indicating that many core features may remain similar to its predecessor.

According to reports, the device was recently listed on the 3C certification platform, revealing support for 33W wired fast charging. This marks a slight upgrade compared to the 30W charging available on the previous model, the Motorola Razr 60.

Earlier certifications including listings on TENAA and TDRA had already hinted at several key specifications of the new foldable. The Razr 70 is expected to carry forward much of the design and hardware seen in the Razr 60 series while introducing incremental improvements.

The smartphone is likely to feature a 6.9 inch full HD plus OLED primary display with a resolution of 1080 by 2640 pixels. In addition it may include a 3.63 inch external cover screen designed for quick access and notifications without unfolding the device.

In terms of battery performance the Razr 70 is expected to include a dual cell battery rated at 4275mAh with a typical capacity of around 4500mAh similar to its predecessor. This suggests that battery life may remain largely unchanged despite the minor charging upgrade.

For photography the device could introduce a dual 50 megapixel rear camera system replacing the earlier combination of a primary and ultra wide sensor. The front camera is expected to stay the same with a 32 megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Performance wise the handset is tipped to feature an octa core processor clocked at around 2.75GHz offering a slight boost over the chipset used in the Razr 60. It may also come with multiple RAM configurations ranging from 8GB up to 18GB along with storage options reaching up to 1TB.

The design and dimensions of the Razr 70 are expected to closely match the previous generation with a slim foldable form factor and a side mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

With multiple certifications already in place the Motorola Razr 70 is likely to launch first in China followed by a global rollout shortly after.
