During a media interaction at Indian Wells Open, Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic hinted that Serena Williams might be preparing for a comeback and suggested that The Championships Wimbledon could be the perfect stage for her return.
Serena Williams has not competed in professional tennis since the US Open in 2022, when she stepped away from the sport after an extraordinary career. However, speculation about a potential comeback began circulating after reports confirmed that she rejoined tennis’s anti doping testing pool last year, a requirement for players intending to compete professionally again.
Speaking to reporters Djokovic said he had not spoken directly with Williams but believed there was a strong possibility that the legendary American might return to the court.
