OnePlus has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13s, will be unveiled in India and select global markets on June 5 at 12 PM IST. The device is poised to be the company’s first compact premium handset and will be equipped with Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The new OnePlus 13s is designed to offer top-tier performance, longer battery life, and enhanced cooling technology for demanding usage.
The smartphone will arrive in three distinct finishes: Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and an exclusive Green Silk version that will only be available to Indian consumers. This trio of colours adds to the brand’s emphasis on both aesthetics and regional preferences.
A standout feature of the OnePlus 13s is the inclusion of a newly introduced “Plus key,” replacing the traditional tri-state alert slider. This button is fully customizable and allows users to quickly access important features like Sound, Vibration, Do Not Disturb mode, and artificial intelligence tools, offering a more dynamic user experience.
The OnePlus 13s houses a massive 4400 sq mm Cryo-Velocity vapour chamber, which is supported by an additional cooling layer on the back panel. This hardware combination is engineered to efficiently manage heat, making the phone ideal for long hours of gaming and multitasking.
In terms of performance testing, OnePlus stated that it conducted real-world stress tests using Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The OnePlus 13s reportedly maintained consistent frame rates for up to seven hours before the battery depleted. Additionally, users can expect approximately 24 hours of talk time over WhatsApp and up to 16 hours of continuous browsing on Instagram.
Connectivity has also been significantly improved in the OnePlus 13s with a reworked 360-degree antenna layout. This advanced configuration includes 11 antennas in total—three of which are high-performance modules—paired with a four-mode ultra-wideband low-frequency system. These enhancements are claimed to boost signal reliability and reduce interference caused by handholding by as much as 60 percent, thanks to OnePlus’ proprietary signal-balance mode.
The OnePlus 13s is shaping up to be a promising addition to the brand’s portfolio, delivering flagship-grade specs in a compact form with features tailored for both performance and convenience.
