The OnePlus 15R Ace Edition is officially arriving in India on December 17, launching alongside the standard OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2. OnePlus has confirmed that the Ace Edition will introduce a striking Electric Violet colourway, expanding the lineup to three distinct finishes — Electric Violet, Charcoal Black and Mint Green. While the new edition brings a fresh aesthetic, its internal hardware remains identical to the standard OnePlus 15R.
The Electric Violet variant features a fibreglass back panel with a unique “Ace” imprint, giving it a premium texture and design identity. This colourway matches the Electric Violet shade of the OnePlus Ace 6T recently released in China, reinforcing speculation that the OnePlus 15R may be a rebranded version of that model.
Sales for the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will go live via Amazon and the OnePlus India website. The smartphone is confirmed to sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, 450PPI pixel density and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The display is designed to operate from as low as 2 nits, offering improved comfort in both bright and dim lighting.
On the photography front, OnePlus has equipped the 15R series with its DetailMax Engine, Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst and Clear Night Engine, bringing flagship-grade computational imaging features to the lineup. The OnePlus 15R is also set to become the first device powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, co-designed with OnePlus. Additional enhancements include the latest G2 Wi-Fi module and an upgraded Touch Response Chip for improved gaming and smooth navigation.
More details will be revealed at the official launch event on December 17.
