The upcoming OnePlus 15T is expected to debut soon as the successor to the OnePlus 13T and fresh leaks indicate that the new model may retain a largely similar camera configuration while carrying a higher price tag. Although OnePlus has not officially confirmed details industry sources have revealed key specifications ahead of launch.
According to recent reports the OnePlus 15T could feature a dual rear camera setup built around a Sony Lytia 700 sensor with optical image stabilisation and an f 1.8 aperture. The secondary camera is said to use a Samsung JN5 sensor with OIS and an f 2.8 aperture. While the megapixel count has not been explicitly mentioned both sensors are widely expected to offer 50 megapixels similar to the previous generation.
For comparison the OnePlus 13T launched with a 50 megapixel primary wide angle camera paired with a 50 megapixel telephoto lens. If the latest leak proves accurate the main difference in the new device may be a slightly narrower aperture on the telephoto camera rather than a complete hardware overhaul.
Beyond the camera system the OnePlus 15T is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of internal storage. The device could sport a 6.32 inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate aimed at delivering smooth visuals for gaming and media consumption.
Battery capacity is tipped to reach around 7500mAh with support for 100W wired charging as well as wireless charging capabilities. The handset may arrive in multiple configurations including 12GB and 16GB RAM variants with storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. Expected colour finishes include Cloud Ink Black Morning Mist Grey and a soft pink tone.
Reports suggest the OnePlus 15T will first launch in China next month and could carry a higher starting price than its predecessor which debuted at CNY 3399 for the base variant. More official details are likely to emerge in the coming weeks.
