The OnePlus Ace 5 series, comprising the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, is expected to debut soon. Recent leaks have suggested that these devices will not feature periscope cameras in their triple rear camera setups. The series is anticipated to follow in the footsteps of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and Ace 3 models.
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that the OnePlus Ace 5 series will be equipped with customized BOE X2 8T LTPO flat displays, boasting a 1.5K resolution and ultra-slim bezels on all four sides. The base model, OnePlus Ace 5, is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro variant might come with the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Both smartphones are expected to have high-density 6,000mAh batteries.
In terms of photography, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are likely to include a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, though neither will have a periscope shooter. For security, both models are expected to feature ultra-thin optical fingerprint sensors. Additionally, the series might come with right-angled metal middle frames. Previous leaks hinted that the Pro variant could have a glass-ceramic body with chamfered edges. These mid-range devices are anticipated to launch in China around November this year.
Earlier this year, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro was introduced in China in June, the Ace 3 in January, and the Ace 3V in April. There have been no reports about a potential OnePlus Ace 5V model yet.
