OnePlus has officially announced that OxygenOS 16 will be launched on October 16, 2025 in India. The new software update, built on Android 16, promises a redesigned user interface and a suite of AI-powered features for OnePlus smartphones.
The upcoming OnePlus 15 is expected to run OxygenOS 16 out of the box, while older devices may receive the update through an OTA rollout based on eligibility. This release will integrate Google’s Gemini AI models, enabling users to execute generative AI tasks directly on their devices.
OxygenOS 16 brings a refreshed interface with redesigned app icons, smoother navigation, and enhanced customization options. The AI features are designed to simplify everyday tasks, such as interacting with objects on the phone screen, identifying items through the camera, and using circle-to-search functionalities.
With Gemini AI integration, users will be able to access content from the Mind Space hub and Plus Mind feature to perform personalized actions, including planning trips, organizing stored content, and executing smart recommendations without manually searching for information.
OnePlus emphasizes that the update is built to enhance both productivity and entertainment, offering on-device intelligence that learns user preferences. The launch of OxygenOS 16 marks a major step forward in OnePlus’ commitment to smart AI-driven experiences for its users.
