OnePlus is gearing up to introduce its much-anticipated Nord 6 smartphone in India, and the company has now revealed key details about its camera setup and durability features ahead of the official launch. The device is scheduled to debut on April 7 at 7 PM IST and will be available for purchase via Amazon in multiple colour options.

The OnePlus Nord 6 will feature a dual rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia primary sensor. This camera is expected to support 2x zoom along with dual-axis optical image stabilisation and multi-focus capabilities for improved photography. Accompanying it will be an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens offering a 112-degree field of view, allowing users to capture broader scenes.

On the front, the smartphone will include a 32-megapixel selfie camera placed within a punch-hole display cutout. The device is also capable of recording high-quality videos at up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second using the rear camera.

In terms of durability, OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord 6 will come with multiple ingress protection ratings including IP66 IP68 and IP69 IP69K. These ratings indicate strong resistance against dust water splashes and even high-pressure water exposure, making the device more robust for everyday use.

The smartphone will feature a flat 1.5K AMOLED display branded as “Sunburst HDR” with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It is expected to deliver peak brightness up to 3600 nits along with advanced PWM dimming for eye comfort. Additionally, the Aqua Touch 2.0 technology will allow the screen to remain responsive even when used with wet fingers.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor paired with an Adreno 835 GPU. It is expected to offer up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth performance and fast data access.

The device is also set to pack a massive 9000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. With these features, OnePlus aims to deliver a powerful mid-range smartphone experience.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to be priced between Rs 35000 and Rs 40000 in India, positioning it competitively in the premium mid-range segment.
